Oil Painting Class with Jennifer McCaffrey
Join us for a thoughtful oil painting workshop led by local Bend artist Jennifer McCaffrey, where we’ll explore the natural world through the bold, expressive lens of Georgia O’Keeffe. This two-hour class will guide you in creating your own landscape-inspired piece using oil paints, with a focus on color, form, and abstraction. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced painter, Jennifer’s thoughtful instruction and creative prompts will help you tap into your inner artist.

About Your Instructor

As a former dancer, capturing movement is the overarching theme in my work, and my aim in any piece is to create something that feels alive. I first studied art at Wake Forest University, and went on to work in healthcare while painting in every spare moment I could find. I found that I couldn’t not paint, even when I had very little margin in my life, and am grateful to be pursuing art today in a way that feeds that passion. Apart from painting, I work PRN as a surgical Physician Assistant, am a mother of 3, runner, music lover, and trail mix high-grader. Like most Bendites, I am usually out somewhere with poor cell reception taking in the beauty of Central Oregon when not in the studio.
